Is this worthwhile?

I am a zombie fan and I got a movie gift card for my birthday and don't know if I should use it on this one.

I've only seen the trailers and I''m not impressed by it.
I'm not impressed by most of the movies that come out these days as they're mostly all garbage.

Watch all the trailers and then decide.
Best advice I can give.

You should come to the Zombieland thread, everything horror related is there!

It's "based" on the book written by Max Brooks. And I use the term based very loosely, as all the trailers I've seen look absolutely nothing like the book, I'm guessing because the book was so popular, but because the book would be hard to translate to film they basically paid to use the name.

The book is excellent, it's a collection of interviews from people all over the world who experience a zombie outbreak that spread across the globe. It did not center around one main group of characters. It did not have running zombie hordes.

The main zombie film I'm looking forward to is The Dead 2. The first is excellent, and brings back old school zombies.

I havent seen the movie, but I intend to. Just finished the book though. It was OK. Not a bad book, but it didn't live up to the hypse, and was NOT worth the $11 paid for it.

Did not like the movie adaptation; and I think the only semblance left in that movie, from the book, is the title.
