I was wondering I live inn a rural area where internet is not great.. Have 3 meg download. We also have Direct Tv genie with 4 HDTV's connected.. Now for pay per view the signal is sent over the internet.

This is my question.. I c no reason on my TV set up why Sattelite Tv can not send/ decode what I want to watch over the internet sent to me through the Sat Dish and my net saying what I want sent over a slow internet connection.. If they do it to send the codes for PPV why can't they do the same with the net?

They can, in fact you can google satellite internet. The thing is that is a separate service. Your company would have to have that available in your area and then you would have to purchase that service. The problem is that it can be more expensive so many companies put data caps like they do on cellular data plans. There is only so much data that can be stored in a certain bandwidth. Unlike cables which can transmit a lot more data without having to worry about frequency planning. (I used to be a radio frequency engineer with a small cell phone company)

First Sat can push alot more data then cable Tech infinitely more. Secondly, Pcs=Mac cant show true HDTV. they are true VGA source . So yes Stay with TV which is why and Always why they shwo a TV show HDTV its RGBE. PPV ,the signal is sent to pay it is or dialup,but the view and sound is sent via the normal sat.
