There are no female U.S. Navy Seals. But otherwise, sure. So let me get this straight. No female in the entire history of the Armed Forces ever has obtained or even considered being a Navy SEAL? Well then I guess that demi Moore movie wasn't based on a true story after all. stupid Hollywood, man! lol |

I think men and women are different in many aspects. Perhaps this is the key reason we attract each other because we each bring something new to the table in terms of strengths.
Where men are usually much stronger physically than women, we perhaps bring nurturing or emotional strength to a family or a relationship. Not to say the man doesn't! It is very promising that in this day and age and in this country (Canada and USA) we can tell our children that they can become whatever they wish in terms of a career. We encourage individuality and support creative thinking. So are we equal? Is one more important than the other? "TheCaptain"'s conclusion was: Men are bigger, faster, and stronger. But we still can't hold it together without woman by our side, taking care of each other and using our strengths to help us be more together than we are separately. Together - man and woman - we are greater together than the sum of our parts! |

Women cannot serve in the U.S. Special Forces in any branch of the military, although I heard they can serve in Cultural Support Teams with the Army Special Operations Command but those are "After the fact" forces that go in and interact with women...But limited capacity and no woman has ever served in active engagements with a SOF in the U.S. |

I heard on the television a few days ago that now women will be training officially for combat. Including becoming navy seals.
I think any woman that does that is stupid and crazy. well, I think any man that does that is not too bright either. Peace on earth! |

I heard on the television a few days ago that now women will be training officially for combat. Including becoming navy seals. I heard recently that there is a 2,500 year old dragon living in them hills. Television hardly copes as a valid reference these days, besides that, you probably caught it on one of your Youtube videos even worse credibility. |

Under details of the plans obtained by The Associated Press, women could start training as Army Rangers by mid-2015 and as Navy SEALs a year later. The military services have mapped out a schedule that also will include reviewing and possibly changing the physical and mental standards that men and women will have to meet in order to quality for certain infantry, armor, commando and other front-line positions across the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. Under the plans to be introduced Tuesday, there would be one common standard for men and women for each job. Anybody who thinks women are weaker has obviously never watched a good fight on Jerry Springer. LOL. No, seriously, you ever see the wife go after the other woman in real life??? Women can be vicious. Like freaking wolverines. You cannot break up a good biotch fight. And women can be WAY vindictive when scorned. We can hold a grudge a lot a lot a lot longer. Men just beat the carp out of each other and it's over. Women can be pizzed for decades. You think peeing in someone's food is messed up?? You do not want to even know the sick stuff I know of women doing for revenge. Some of you guys would go in the closet and whimper and babble about wanting your mommy if you know some of the cheesed off women I know.
Oh and what Jeannie said about men could not handle squeezing out babies through their wee wees. I doubt most could handle monthly cramps. Don't jump me. I said MOST not all. We have some tough guys on here would could probably carry a baby nine months, give birth and breast feed like Hippie, Boone and Dodo. |

We have some tough guys on here would could probably carry a baby nine months, give birth and breast feed like Hippie, Boone and Dodo. My thoughts, exactly! There are no rules when women fight. All bets are off. I bet Hippie, Boone and Dodo might be able to do childbirth without meds, too. Psychology is fascinating- preconceptions about gender roles are fostered from day one of a baby's life, and then, often unconsciously directed by the parents as they grow up. Equality is valued in some cultures, but not others. Personally, I think it is more important to look at what an individual has to offer, first, before considering gender. I have experienced chauvinism and ageism throughout my life, and it is very frustrating. It is very interesting to see how advances in technology (I.e. access to information and schooling) is affecting a shift in developing nations. Everyone us unique, but we are all human. |
