Topic: THIS JUST IN!... from NYT Editorial Board | |

New York Times Editorial Board: "The administration has now lost all credibility." This is quite stunning, when you think about it. The American Pravda has now officially, and quite dramatically (for what it is: a lapdog megaphone for gov't), rebuked Obama in this just-released Op-Ed by the Editorial Board itself: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/07/opinion/president-obamas-dragnet.html?pagewanted=1&_r=0 |

Perhaps with all the bad press people like Lindsey Graham will get their a$$e$ voted out for saying "It's a good thing!"
This neocon, armchair warmonger needs to grow a brain.... and learn to read....he can start with the Constitution! ********* The Obama administration is defending its practices, and even some of its biggest critics are applauding the surveillance effort. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who has been Obama’s arch-nemesis on Benghazi, Libya, sequestration and other issues, said Thursday morning he thought the White House was doing a good job. “I’m glad the NSA is trying to find out what the terrorists are up to overseas and in our country,” Graham said on “Fox & Friends.” As a customer of Verizon, the subject of the court order, Graham said he and others had nothing to worry about. “I’m a Verizon customer. I don’t mind Verizon turning over records to the government if the government is going to make sure that they try to match up a known terrorist phone with somebody in the United States. I don’t think you’re talking to the terrorists. I know you’re not. I know I’m not, so we don’t have anything to worry about.” Are there any bigger idiots than this fool sitting in gov't? Sure there are..... I'll start the list! Fienstein Pelosi Reid |

![]() Even Bill O'Bully and Laura Ingraham are now questioning the gov't authority and the patriot act! Oh gee, we maybe should have questioned it a little more.... YA THINK? ![]() *************** Laura Ingraham: Maybe We Should Have Focused More On Patriot Act, Not ‘Laughed Off’ Civil Libertarians Addressing the NSA’s phone data grab on Bill O’Reilly’s show Thursday night, Laura Ingraham strayed into rethinking the haste with which the Patriot Act was passed in 2001. “To be fair on the surveillance deal,” O’Reilly admitted, “it started under the Bush administration, apparently. It has continued and expanded under President Obama, with 121 million Americans being a part of Verizon deal. All our records are in the hands of the government. As we see in the IRS, anything can be leaked out to anybody. So maybe they didn’t listen to the calls, but they know who you called and how long you were on the phone with that person. That could be put out to any website any time they want.” “It all started courtesy the Patriot Act,” Ingraham said. “A lot of civil libertarians at the time raised red flags, and they were laughed off. I didn’t focus that much, to tell you the truth, about the Patriot Act. I wish I had. I think that was a mistake.” O’Reilly was quick to separate his support of the Patriot Act, which covers the NSA’s data grab revealed yesterday, from the Obama’s administration’s use of it. “I supported the Patriot Act, but I never thought that a warrant could cover every single American,” he said. “We never think,” Igraham said. “The key thing is the FISA court is the Foreign Intelligence Act. Now it’s domestic.” “You can go get the records of everybody!” O’Reilly said. “That I never even thought to be possible.” “And there was no specific reason to target people,” Ingrahma said. “I believe that’s different from how the Bush administration approached it. We’ll see.” |

That sure didn't take long.... NYT Stealth Edits Editorial to Water Down Obama Condemnation http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2013/06/06/NYT-Stealth-edits-Obama I happen to be loosely associated with one of the writers of breitbart's Big Journalism, and I already knew what he was saying about the edit of the NYT editorial. He is/they are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Sure, the original version of the editorial said, "The administration has now lost all credibility." However, that statement did not correctly express what the editorial board was saying. So, the sentence was corrected to say, "The administration has now lost all credibility on this issue." The corrected version of the sentence expresses what the editorial board meant to say. |
