My Mother played the piano
I always wished I could But My fingers were never disciplined enough To work side by side With each other I listened to her Chopin And whenever I hear him Again, I am back in my Teenager's room Listening Before dinner She would play and Mix sound with the scents Of that evening's meal A filling combination And I would draw We fought like dogs in a pen She and I Strong willed, growling We guarded territories And postured as old and young dogs Do But at night After the drama of a Regular Family Day She played And I listened In harmony http://youtu.be/yDSxPiFOrEY |
