Month One

Mommy
I am only 8 inches long
but I have all my organs.
I love the sound of your voice.
Every time I hear it
I wave my arms and legs.
The sound of your heart beat
is my favorite lullaby.


Month Two

Mommy
today I learned how to suck my thumb.
If you could see me
you could definitely tell that I am a baby.
I'm not big enough to survive outside my home though.
It is so nice and warm in here.


Month Three

You know what Mommy
I'm a girl!!
I hope that makes you happy.
I always want you to be happy.
I don't like it when you cry.
You sound so sad.
It makes me sad too
and I cry with you even though
you can't hear me.


Month Four

Mommy
my hair is starting to grow.
It is very short and fine
but I will have a lot of it.
I spend a lot of my time exercising.
I can turn my head and curl my fingers and toes
and stretch my arms and legs.
I am becoming quite good at it too.


Month Five

You went to the doctor today.
Mommy, he lied to you.
He said that I'm not a baby.
I am a baby Mommy, your baby.
I think and feel.
Mommy, what's abortion?


Month Six

I can hear that doctor again.
I don't like him.
He seems cold and heartless.
Something is intruding my home.
The doctor called it a needle.
Mommy what is it? It burns!
Please make him stop!
I can't get away from it!
Mommy! HELP me!


Month Seven

Mommy
I am okay.
I am in Jesus's arms.
He is holding me.
He told me about abortion.
Why didn't you want me Mommy?

I heard that more marriaged women have abortions than single, and after
that its women, 25 and older not teenage girls... what has happened with
this... the time not to get pregant is before you get pregant.

In Reding this I take it that You knew that little girl wether she was
born or not! I love the poem and it is the most beautifull poem i've
ever heard composed. To take a childs life is the most horrible thing
any other human can do. Jesus will make right with the child as the poem
say's, but the mother has no redemption for that in my opinon. She may
recieve forgiveness from Christ, but never from her concious or heart(
which i do not believe she has). Stay Strong in Your beliefs!!! Thank

Women sometimes are raped. That is also a good reason to get an
abortion.
Some were promised a lifetime of love and understanding. Then dumped.
They have no resources or help from that idot who got her pregnant. That
is also a good reason to get an abortion.
People that are so against abortion. Why don't you do something about
it? Instead of saying how bad it is. Are you going to an orphange and
spending time with these children that are abandon?
Have you adopted a child and offer your love, time and future to an
abandoned child? Have you already put away some money to buy these
children toys and clothes for X-mas. When was the last time you held an
orphan in your arms????? Do you know that when these kids grow up and
become 18years of age. They say bye bye. Nice knowing you. In a world
were you have no one that loves one. A family to go to for the holidays.
All these people that are against abortions are quick to say it is a bad
thing. But are they a solution or they making a difference to the
abandon children we have. How many of these idots that march up and down
the street have adopted children???? Or brought a child to there home
for the holidays???? Few to none....I rest my case. BIGOTS!!!!!

Well, the person having the abortion did not think about the
consequences of their actions either, and it is them that have placed a
unborn child in peril.
A woman cannot have an abortion unless she is pregant... the issue is
that she,s pregant, there are ways to prevent an unwanted pregnancy,
before getting pregnant!
Because none were taken, is not the fault of the unborn baby.
And... please comment on all of these women that are married with kids
having abortions, and the women that are old enough to know better
getting pregnant and having abortions... some women have had numerious
abortions... where does it end!

That was a deep poem!!! Although i am not against abortion because i
believe sometimes women have reasons strong enough to consider
abortion like incest, rape, or other reasons i cant name. though i
believe a baby is a gift from god and you should cheriss it.

That hit to close to home. I have 2 kids and my parents didnt wan me to
keep them, I told them they didnt raise a killer.I am happy i had them
and my parents have fell in love with them. My kids mean the world to
me. As for other women, to bad they dont want to experiance watching
their children grow and learn. It is the most wonderful thing on earth.
I could not ask for more, than what I have with my children.

I agree with araceli. Do not approve of abortion, but, there are certain
cases in which it might be understandable. Like I said though, I am
pretty much full-out against it.

I agree, if you play, sometimes you gotta pay!!
If you want to play and refuse to use precautions that was your choice.
If another life evolves from this act, they should have a choice now.
I have heard of rape cases where the victim said something like if he
had to do this, please wear a condom, they had a disease or were
pregnant, basically anything to make the attacker think, sometimes I
guess it worked, if not, say great, the police will need the dna
specimin!
I had a s-i-law once that mom made have an abortion (she was 15) I
think it mainly for the stigma of the neighbors seeing her "in that
way". Now just a few people know what happened about 20 years ago,
including my ex-inlaw. She still thinks about that baby and what it may
have been, especially when one of her daughters needed bone marrow and
they couldn't find a donor!!
Life is too fleeting, too precious be responsible for your actions (MEN
and women), it's really cliche' but "what the world need now......"

I dont believe in aboriton if you cant take care of a child or childern
dont lay down in the bed without a rubber and brith contol pills.Another
chioce is to give the child up for adoption because there is many people
in this world who cant have any childern this gives you and your child a
better life.

I must say, that America, for all its talk about adoption makes it
extremely difficult for good families to adopt...therefore, is adoption
really the viable option that many of us would like it to be. Don't get
me wrong, I think that the idea of abortion as birth control is
irresponsible and abhorrent, but I'm a 25 yr old male that never has to
deal with being pregnant.
Regardless of who or why some people choose to have an abortion, I think
often times that a little grace goes a long way. That doesn't make it
"right" but life is complex and no "simple" solution ever proves so
simple, and I do think that there are times when abortion is a
legitimate option (rape and serious threat to the life of the female).
On that note, the birthing process is in fact a long and arduous process
that can drastically affect a female's life, so before we all go burning
women who have abortions at the stake...let's try and understand first
and realize that this isn't a black-and-white issue that can be given a
simplistic, bumper-sticker solution.

I was faced with a pregnancy when I had just turned 21..the sperm donor
wanted nothing to do with me or the child..so from 2 months pregnant on,
I was by myself..I could have easily made the decision to have an
abortion, but I didn't..and the thought never even crossed my mind..My
daughter is now 10 and I thank God everyday that I didn't make that
decision...on the other hand, my best friend of 18 yrs..when we were in
high school..she got pregnant..her mom forced her into having an
abortion..she paid for it and took her to have it done..and then her mom
acted like it was no big deal..now some 15 or so years later...my best
friend still wonders what that child would have looked like, what color
hair it would have, what color eyes it would have, if it was a boy or a
girl..etc...she lives with that everyday...

Hey, that was very deep. I hate abortion i should know my birth mom
considered having one. Adoption is the best thing ever. Why should an
inocent life have to suffer because its not what you wanted. Props to
you man, you should write a book.
