1 pound ground beef makes about 3 burgers 80/20 is the best for burgers, since the fat content holds them together during cooking

Put ground beef in a large bowl
add salt and pepper to taste (not too much)

Form 6 flat patties about 4-5 inches in diameter with a ridge around the edge

Place 1 tbsp prepared pesto on 3 of the patties, spread to near edges

Place remaining 3 patties on pesto patties and seal edges well, olive oil is flammable

Grill to taste, a grill basket makes cooking hamburgers a breeze, turn them all at once without destroying them removing the from your grill
