Topic: Does anyone else have troubles talking? | |
---|---|
I personally am somewhat antisocial and find it hard to communicate with the average person unless they talk a lot about interesting stuff. There's not a lot of people out there that talk a lot as it is(I find) but even harder to find one that talks a lot about interesting things(like not just about themselves or one narrow topic). But also people that respond well to things I say, there's a lot of people out there that will respond to half of what I say with one word, "ya" "oh" "ok" "meh" "I see". Those people drive me insane. I'm not sure if they're like that because they don't like what I'm saying or just don't like me but it's annoying and makes me not want to be around them regardless. I think a lot of it is cuz people are afraid to speak their opinions, which is understandable considering there's a lot of situations that people get crucified for doing so. I've never been like that, I say it how I see it and if other people don't like it well, everyone's entitled to their opinion. But if people don't talk then I shut down pretty quick myself and go silent.

Im not vocal of my opinion. I usually keep it to myself. I am afraid that i may not pronounce properly or the grammar might be wrong. I used to talk to myself whenever i want to speak my mind in front of the mirror. But this never help me face a real person of vocalizing what is on my mind. My ideas, opinions and emotions are expressed through writing.. I don't have the confidence of facing people whom i thought of smarter than me. I do respond to teasing, joking but of sharing ideas and opinion is a different thing( verbally)

Yes, I do well with outgoing people, some people the converstion just flows. others that are shy or
just don't want to converce , then I feel socially awkward. My sons like that on the phone, I dont look forwart to the conversation, I'm the one that got to keep comming up with the next thing to say, then alls he comes back with is a hmmm..or ya..it realy sucks, panfull conversation So your propably doing the right thing, just hole up & invert..... FTW No I'm kidding maybee they are been perceptive about things about you..like your whiney or your a "Debbie Downer"..... then practice mindfulness good luck |

There's different levels of confidence and shyness. It isn't always so black and white. I'm never the most talkative in the room. I will talk when someone wants to, but I'm just not a loud person. I don't like to think I'm pestering anyone. I keep myself to myself. I prefer being in a small group than a large crowd. I get heatstroke, and when I was at a live gig, it was hot weather, and I felt I was gonna puke and collapse. My friend's thought I was faking it to go home because of my shyness. I just rolled my eyes at them. I wasn't up for arguing with them. The next day we were talking again, but that day did piss me off, being accused of WANTING to go home. I was enjoying it, too. I am good at conversation, but also I don't talk non-stop.

I never have really asserted things with other people it is almost kind of an imature way of arguing... on the other hand kind of wish I did sometimes... |

I have no trouble with talking...
...Where i run into trouble is getting anyone to talk BACK ! |
|

Have not been the best speaker at all times... that being said was also the top sales rep for many of the companies I worked for.. is totally different then just hanging out...
Always did seem kind of stupid or disinterested when I was actually just nervous. Have always been that way since I was young... |

I have no trouble with talking... ...Where i run into trouble is getting anyone to talk BACK ! I hear that. Sad thing is like Mirage4279, a lot of people want to talk back but just have no clue what to say. That's why society tends to fall into huge generalized stereotypes. They talk about hot girls, hot guys, sports, drinking and whatever women talk about. Interesting and inspired conversationalists are difficult to come by. |
