If you are first getting to know someone, somewhere where you can chat and get to know them.
Don't do a movie right away. happy

I'll her take her around the world & not even leave the bedroom!
There's another one I forget for the worst pickup lines,
Might have another 40 or so stuck in my "repertoire"

I believe Panera Bread simulates the natural habitat of the first date.

The menu appeals to varied dietary tastes. The atmosphere is subtle and relaxing. Their seating is comfortable enough to hang out and talk awhile. Plus if you go during off hours, it will be very quiet and fairly private, yet public enough to provide optimal 1st date safety requirements. But I'd have to look it up in an OSHA handbook to be certain.

If they like the same type of music I would like a concert. But you're right, it is not conducive to talking!

First date then:

Eat out and talk
stroll and talk
spontaneous item and talk (even the dreaded movie...)

For first date, dinner in a decent restaurant will do :)

I take her wherever she feels relaxed the most and get to know her there. I have always found the ocean is a good place.

If you mean a first date, I would say meet at a coffee house so you can talk and get to know each other a little bit.

Depends on the girl, but I'd say dinner and walk or a day at the lake
