I have recently started playing WOW, but when I play I am not allowed to do anything else on my computer, cause it takes up the full screen. But I enjoy multi tasking on my computer. So I feel so confind when playing the game, but I love it. What I want to know, is there a way to hook up another monitor to my computer? And be able to do seprate taskes with my mouse and key board on each monitor?

I've never played WoW but i do play EQ and if WoW is anything like Eq (as far as UI's go)you should be able to set it to Window mode and as long as you've got plenty of ram,you should be able to switch between the tasks pretty easily by hitting the key with the Windows emblem on it down to the right and left of the space bar.

Fist off I am the queen of multi tasking. And second I am sorry for taking so long to respond to this post. And third, ADJ I do not see anything with a two monitor Icon. And no there is not that option JT.

if you do not have a duel monitor option in setting our video card is not set up to run more than one set of monitor images
you can hook up another monitor but they would both show the same images |
Is there away to get that option?
you can try googling it how to add second monitor
or something similar or call your computer store but i think yer gonna need a NEW VIDEO CARD to do it which i think you could handle the changing of |

i tried adding a monitor to my older laptop
and everything i tried only replicated the monitor images on the main screen i have since changed laptops and have the muti monitor option they do make video cards for desktops that you can change out with the one you have now may want to check out the reviews and testing sites should be able to find one for under 100 bucks |

Nooo idea about this one.. but.. If WOW doesnt die.. press alt + tab to switch to a different window... in some online games, this makes the game die.. I've never played WOW before though so... |

Wow. 25 bucks is a great deal for a dual monintor video card. For that price it probly has little video ram and only s-video support for the second monintor. I don't play wow so I don't know the memory demands of the game, but unless you have a fast enough card, it may not be good for multi tasking in this way. I'm a mega tasker myself and am into FPS games. If you know them, then you know that they can carry some hefty requirements for all of the great eye candy.
Sometimes I have to run two computers at once. But I would recomand a video card with at least 256mb of ram. 128mb might work for you though. You can pick one up a cheap one with 128mb of ram with a second output of s-video for about $50 bucks. |
