Is it on WinXP? If so heres a little trick
On the logon screen, hold CTRL+ALT and press DEL twice Then as the user, put Administrator Leave the password blank Most of the time that works, unless he uses the deafult admin account. If it is Win98, just press the Escape button when the login-screen comes up |

By this do you mean you don't know the password and can't log in? My grandparents did this and I made a crack disk to hack the password. XD

Yes I do... that is one of two security passwords that you can set from the BIOS (CMOS setup screen). This will differ from machine to machine as to exactly one resets this configuration.
When you start your PC it will show a logo before the windows logo. This start-up screen will say hit f-8 through f-12 ( in the upper right hand corner of the screen ) key to enter setup. This is where you want to go for BIOS configuration settings such as this one. You can almost count on it asking you for the same password to change the setting to turn it off. If you do not have it, the only other ways I can think of is to reset your BIOS (flashing them may work but you really cannot do that without your machine starting up first ) . Often you can restore CMOS (BIOS) to its default configuration which could cause problems if you do not know what your doing. The boot sequence is one example, and may cause your PC to search for the OS in places other then where it is at. As a result your computer will never be able to boot after restoring BIOS to its default configuration settings. Someone with little computer knowledge could eventually work through this though. Also if the programmer of the BIOS said to himself "I would like for this system to actually have a password setting that works and cannot be reset by restoring CMOS to its default settings" then there is only one other way to do it. And it kind of takes a skilled technician to do it. There will be a dip switch on the mother board that will automatically reset the BIOS and you will not need the password. |

If it worked for ages then wanted a password you know what happened or your trying for another account, use the windows disc if win7+ and use online tuts to hack it
