I would be cautious. When I find myself interested in someone, I generally would ask him for his phone number. If he hesitates or comes up with a reason not to give me his....to me that is a red flag going up. If he gives it to me willingly, I always make sure that I #67 before I call him. This way the number is blocked from a caller ID.
If we get along great and the conversations are easy, I would generally wait about a week or two before giving him my number. I have come across a few WIERD people in my time. To me there is nothing wrong with a woman being careful. I hope this help you. |

YEAH, IT'S OK. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GET TO KNOW THE PERSON, WHY NOT?

I'd been exchanging mail with someone for about 5 days, then he asked for my number. I told him basically no, not yet, wasn't ready for that. His response was NOT a nice one!! I haven't heard from him again!!! Whew! Sure glad I was cautious!!!

occurse his response wasnt good. whats the purpose of being on a dating site if your going to be overly caustious. hmm maybe you can tell your cats how you were affraid of the phone.

If you have a pre paid cell phone or cell phone that would be best then there not calling your home or your mom & dad home etc and asking questions etc.
But yeah why not, up to you and if you choose to do so. |

Babydoll.....
I wonder if it was the same guy that sent me a nasty little email because I wouldn't call him when he gave me his number in the first email he sent me. You shouldn't give out your number until you are comforatable with it, and obviously that's not the case yet. You will know when the time is right. |
|
|

It was only FIVE days of mail. Most of those were just short little 'quips' ---- sometimes it's smart to go with gut instinct!!

So one email gave you a number call and say hello lol what are you affriad of ? you KNow I havent raped or dismembered one women over the phone yet.

Don't be suprised if he is equally as cautious as you are to give out his number. I have guy friends who have had to change their numbers because a certain woman would not leave him alone after he told her he was not interested in going further.

I talk to about 10 friends or more on here.
