I do think it is very possible for two people to form a great connection over the internet.

But I don't think those two people will know what is real and/or their true potential together until they ARE together.

Once you get past the romance...the distance is difficult to work through unless one of you relocates.

I do advise taking your time to really get to know the person, long distance does not allow you to be with the person day in and day out and the "fantasy" of who they are tends to linger longer than a relationship closer would.

Mine did not work out. He was not the person I believed he said he was and got hurt.

Good luck!

As i stated...distance is not the issue...its tbe humans invovled.

If distance is an inhibitor and you know this..then the issue is not the distance ...it you...you r the issue because you r not facing truth of what you r able to do or not

The person who moves/ relocates to be closer to their partner is the weaker sex.

what???????????????????????????
I don't agree with this at all.
I think its more like who is it easier for to make the move.

I agree. If both are not willing to consider the move, then one of them is not invested enough in the committment. and this is why I don't encourage the LDR beyond friendships. I already know I am not going to move. And, if someone moves here to be with me? I don't know that I want to be responsible for that happening - that I want anyone to do that unless they were planning on moving anyway

I got an answer...ldr's don't work for most people....cause they ain't got the guts to make it work.

Ldr's mean a lot of lonely nights...Lot's of time spent thinking of all the negative factors working against them.

That is part of it.

Ldr's...is also about stepping up and taking a chance.

To risk something for real happiness.

I did. 6 months ago...I left everything behind in Texas ...and moved to be with my mingle woman....

I have never been happier.

So..the answer is "yes " and "no".....

If you ain't got the guts to change your life for a shot at happiness....ldr's...will not work.

But, ....if you want something and are willing to actually work for it...."yes "....ldr's do work.

That will only help a small fragment of the population...since most people think that 30 seconds is too long for a commercial....and they stare impatiently at the microwave cause 1 minute is too damned long to wait for fresh popcorn
