why is it when most women find out that a man can do as much around the house as women can, they tend to shy away? or abuse the fact? people find out i am a good cook and thats about all they want me to do? anyone else had this problem?

i like to cook, and from what people tell me i do a good job, but i dont like it when its expected of me. my ex wife used to yell at me if i didnt come home and cook dinner, even though she sat around the house all day and did nothing. i think this is part of the reason she is my ex now.

Next time tell them you are great in bed and see if they abuse that too!!!

I've never had that problem, that is never had a man around that could cook or help around the house or that would anyways.

Maybe knowing that you can cook and will cook, makes them feel special and gives them a break from always having to do the cooking. Just my thought.

i dont mind cooking once in a while,, but work a long day and come home and get yelled at for not cooking is kinda where i draw the line

yes when it is expected that is a marriage lol guess it is just one of those things you need to discuss with each other.

I think a couple should share responsibility for chores. Depending on who has the most time, the chores can be interchangeable.

i loved to cook and taking care of my house the whole day,i want everything is clean and in order......

well,, i took it for 4 years and the last 2 i stayed trying to make it work for my daughter, but enough was enough, i was not going to take her and her family up my rear all the time a moment longer, and nowcome to find out 3 years after the fact she was cheating on me. and tessa i love a clean house to thats why i do what i have to to make sure its clean. i dont want someone coming into my place and it be nasty. not a good first impression. i belive in a relationship it has to be 50 50 or nothing at all. one cant hope to hold a relationship together by themselves. i tried and it failed big time.

well i disagree with that one,, in my case anyway. the way to my heart is through my daughter. shes the one i have to look out for and i wont have a woman around her who she wont like.
