Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts;
My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread
abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion,
and shall yet choose Jerusalem (Zechariah
1:17).

The Apostle John in 3 John 1:2 tells us it’s God’s
will for His children to be prosperous. He says,
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou
mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy
soul prospereth." No wonder, the Lord Jesus
came preaching the good news to the poor
(Luke 4:18); He knew if they received the
Gospel, it would catapult them from poverty to
superabundance.
When God relates with us, His intention is to
bring us to His level. When God meets a poor
man, His intention, always, is to make him rich,
and He’s been doing this from generation to
generation. He specializes in turning beggars
into princes: "He raiseth up the poor out of the
dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the
dunghill, to set them among princes…" (1 Samuel
2:8). This is wonderful!
Furthermore, the Bible says, in Isaiah 48:17,
"Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy
One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which
teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by
the way that thou shouldest go." God is saying
in this scripture that He is the best Person to
teach you about prosperity. He goes further to
say, "O that thou hadst hearkened to my
commandments! then had thy peace been as a
river, and thy righteousness as the waves of
the sea:" (Isaiah 48:18).
The word "peace" derives from the Hebrew word
"shalom," which means "the peace of prosperity
and wellbeing (being in a state of perfect
soundness)." The Lord is saying here that if you
would only listen to Him and let Him teach you,
your prosperity would be like a river such that
you’d never run dry! Then like the Psalmist,
you’d say, "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not
want" (Psalm 23:1).
Why is the Lord interested in our prosperity?
The answer is in what we read in our theme
verse; the Lord said, "…my cities through
prosperity shall yet be spread abroad…."
Accordingly, He has made available to us the
power to get wealth so that as His
representatives on the earth, He can reach the
whole world with the Gospel through us.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you, for your Word is a
lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Therefore, my path is as a shining light that
shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect
day. Thank you for teaching me the principles of
prosperity, and for making me prosperous
through the knowledge of your Word in Jesus’
Name. Amen.

What about this

1 Timothy 6:5 Men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
