Nowadays, most of the women undergo " surgery" or any other ways of enhancing their physical features( eyes, eyebrows, eyelashes, nose, facelift, breast, butt, complexion). Is it important?
(for the women)
Do we need this(above mention) to attract men?
(for men)
Is it important for you that your partner is beautiful, attractive, sexy and flawless?

I would hope the woman that returns my love has no enhancements. I will love her flaws, it is part of life.

I think most of the women who surgically enhance their bodies do it for love or money.

I think for the actresses you mentioned it’s a career decision. They either feel, or maybe have been told, that more career options are available for someone with a more crowd pleasing face or figure. I’m sure it’s a very competitive career path.

I believe other women chose plastic surgery or weight loss techniques to gain an upper hand in the dating arena. I believe they think that if you don’t look like a princess how will you ever land the handsome prince?

Short of correcting a real physical disfigurement, I can’t even imagine have your own body altered, but my career does not depend on my looks and I’d rather my partner were my prince BECAUSE he loves me with all my flaws. Now THAT I wouldn't trade for even Brad Pitt!

and i've never looked at Brad Pitt as ''handsome'',not even George Clooney-yet,i have heard women oooooohhing and aaaahhhhing about thes two!!
More and more women are actually taking this path....although,some just have self esteem issues! Others are following what is trending-i hear JLo's boot is most copied?? Ha ha ha haa
I knew a young woman who altered her whole body....she was a rich young woman, married to a surgeon(no,he didnt perform these OPs)-she was black as night, but got injections and at time of her death, she was a''white'',with blonde hair(implants), a cute nose and an African body! She killed herself mid last year!! I guess she was too discontented with her natural African color and wanted so bad to be white,it ate her up inside?? Btw,her husband was white, and ''supported'' her in her quest!!

First off, we should discuss the difference between handsome and HOT! happy I actually have no personal heat for Brad Pitt, he was just an example of a man most consider the height of desirable these days. He was used for emphasis only. Am I forgiven, if I promise never to USE Brad Pitt again? smokin

I’m confused by people like the woman’s Plastic Surgeon husband. He must have been somewhat attracted to the woman he married, so why would he support her desire to completely transform herself into, not just a different vision, but an entire different race? People can be very confusing. ohwell

I have flaws myself so I don't expect a woman to be perfect...and I'm not about to marry a movie star! Too much drama.

Altering ones physical appearance for the purpose of attracting a potential mate sounds rather shallow does it not? And to specifically target women as culprits of this practice makes me think that kind of mindset comes from somebody who doesn't understand anything about a womans vanity and how it can instill confidence in not only women...but men as well.

Ever noticed how an attitude of self loathing can change to one of confidence when they have had some 'panel beating work' done? I don't see anything wrong with that.

And no i haven't....i've just learnt to wear the genes my parents gave me.

It may be for boosting confidence but mostly are for attracting. I admit i have no confidence especially in expressing my opinions but if i undergo surgery will it be changed? No, because the problem is in me. It will just change your outside look but never the inside. I will try to overcome it little by little. All i have to do is to accept who i am and be contented.

I had read an article before stating that a man sued his wife for false identity because of his daughter being "ugly", where his wife is beautiful. Later on he knew that his wife undergo an eye surgery which really improves her look. She didnt tell her husband about her past.

It must be just me then that thinks working on your physical appearance isn't for anyone elses benefit but your own. ohwell

And for one who doesn't have any confidence expressing their opinion...you seem to be doing fine Winlei...like you've been doing it forever ;-)

So 'this' article....

Who is the more outrageous of the two?

The wife for wanting to improve herself?? Or the husband who would probably never have given his wife a second glance before she had the surgery?

We're visual creatures..always have been and always will be...so what?...deal with it.

I can't imagine a father thinking his daughter was "ugly." Wow, some dad!

aaah shux....if it gives you the confidence and self esteem to attract a potential mate then that is your choice....just as it is for 'those women' who choose plastic surgery or body enhancements.

Winlei, you don't need any physical enhancement. You look fine just the way that you are now. Any man who tells you different is lying.

This is so true that it won't help you on the inside. I find it funny that men say women don't have the change how they look with phyisical enhancements but its they who put the pressure on women to do this as they admit they are visual and that does seem to be more important to them than a woman's personality.

I think all of us would agree. If you show people you meet in person just a fraction of the personality that we know you to possess, I can't imagine anyone not liking you. flowerforyou
