Imagine that there are three people drowning in the ocean and only one life-guard. The lifeguard saves only one person, our loved one. Did that lifeguard make a difference? Absolutely.

What if the lifeguard, overwhelmed by so many people drowning, sits back, and watches everyone drown while saying, “ Too many people need help. I cannot possibly make any difference.” Frequently, we grow discouraged with so many happening in the world and we adopt the attitude of the overwhelmed lifeguard.

We don’t need to make a difference in everyone’s life. Yet we can make a difference in the life of one person who might be someone else’s loved one.

Martin Luther King Jr once said “ if I make a difference in one person’s life, then I’ve made a difference.” So make a difference in someone’s life today.
