I never offered more than 2 weeks vacation. My business couldn't afford long unworked pay. I went years between vacations, personally. Always treated as I EXPECTED to be treated.
Sounds like it was not a very good job.

Please tell me about how YOU risked everything you owned & let the employees tell you how to run it?
Well personally I would never work for a company that would only give me two weeks vacation no matter how many years I worked for them, If I was that desperate though I would be seeking better employment and view it as a temporary set back and I would be less motivated to give all I had to such an employer.

as is your choice. But you haven't answered my question. With all your implied intelligence, why don't you start your own business?

I would lose money because I know myself and I am not that type. I am content to make a good living working 8 hours a day leaving work at work when I clock out.

The real issue to me though is the downward trend in wages and lifestyle for working people and the ever growing affluence of the investing class and the divide it creates between the rulers and the ruled. It does not bode well for society.

Question: would you allow some one else to tell you how to run your investment? Employeers NEED employees, with out them, business is limited to how far it can grow. There has to be a meeting of minds, you can't make laws to tell people how to spend their money.

I am as concerved as you about where things are going, just can't agree with the method.

Maybe this will explain my view better. I have always felt I would rather have a small meal, everyday; than a big meal once & then worry where the next meal will come.

Setting wages to high, will put more people out of work, thus worrying where their next meal will come from. welfare can't feed everyone, someone HAS TO WORK.

Setting them to low also puts people out of work that is why we need the ying and yang to do its thing.
