Small Sacrifices… Sad truth this tender heart, ever shrinking, would someday be too big... Nothing untouched or spared Stripped bare, left for dead Holding interest only to flocks of black birds pecking at vulture's scraps… Echos of my tears ricochet, expertly leave their mark upon a soul barely breathing… Empty eyes cast sideway glances refusing to meet least they be blinded by their own reflection… When will the murky water clear, as if by magic reveal enough to still this heart that it many open, unencumbered, revel in the arms of day, rest calmly under crystal tiers sent to light skies ebon way… ©vlr1:9:13tnusa
