I just cannot sleep tonight,
I know the reason why...
The feelings are undaunting,
From the past, they chose to rise.

I crave the feel of arms so real
and feelings that are true,
My body sees the urgent need
To get so close to you.

The feelings there
They don't despair
Without you so close by,
It needs your touch
It wants so much
It almost makes me cry.

When I close my eyes
Your face arises
My body starts to churn
But if I go again
Back to that den
I know that I'll get burned.

Back to pain of times long ago,
That never will be there again
Just to close my eyes,
I will get a surprise,
If sleep lets me have a turn!

I love this, Melissa... it flows so easily... the missing, the yearning, the pain and loss... then to be able to experience the love again if only in a sleeping dream... nice...
