How hypocritical of many who knew before his confession. The French were the first to accuse him of cheating. Many ignored the French as sore losers due to misguided and arrogant nationalistic ferver, we called the French jealous that an American could win the Tour de France so many times. We also ignored dispite his confession his entire team who benefited by his cheating. His doctors also knew of his high level of Dianobol intake and said nothing. His wife also was aware of his cheating. His confession actually exposes a more troubling trend, and that is the hypocracy of our acceptance of his cheating success just as long as he was not caught and the money flowed. We even changed French fries to freedom fries, now the French are laughing and saying, "i told you". Thanks Lance.

Sadly he got by with it for so long. |

The cancer was before his races, I thought. From what I've read about his interview last night, he is nowhere near ready to actually come down off his high horse. He says the words but doesn't act like he means them. I actually thought he was in the middle of cancer when he was doing the races. He had cancer and then he was doing good but you do not go into remission for 4 years at least depending on the cancer. I know that colon cancer is 4 years before you are into remission. |

How many sports players have been caught cheating and doing different type of drugs? Did they have to pay back the money that they won?
YES LANCE DID DO DOPING...BIG DEAL. HE IS THE ONE WHO TOOK THE CHANCE AND WAS STUPID BY PUTTING ALL THAT CRAP IN HIS BODY WHEN HE WAS GOING THROUGH CANCER. ALL I CAN SAY IS LOOK HOW MUCH MONEY HE HAS DONATED TO THE CANCER SOCIETY. I KNOW EVERYONE SAYS WHO CARES...I DO! I GUESS WHEN YOU HAVE CANCER AND HAVE LOTS OF FAMILY WITH CANCER, YOU PRAY THAT PEOPLE KEEP DONATING MONEY SO A CURE CAN BE FOUND. I LOVE YOU DAD AND YOU ARE MISSED EVERY DAY...ANGEL KISSES UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN....A WONDERFUL MAN TAKEN BY CANCER WAY TO SOON!!! |

So possessing illegal substances, smuggling, collusion, conspiracy, paying hush money, bribery, committing fraud, coercing, stealing, doping to gain a competitive edge,(cheating) (not to mention pressuring teammates to not only join in, but threatening them when they wanted to speak out) covering it up, and lying about it for more than a decade is ok?
Yes he lent his name to a cause and he did ‘help’ raise (not donate) a lot of money, but in the process he also lined his own pockets with up-wards of 100 million dollars! He would have never been in this position had it not been for the doping. There are good, honest people in this world, Mr. Armstrong is simply not one of them. |
