I’m always conflicted
between what is expected of me
& what I really need?
Do people just live or
Do we get to Live?
If you ask me I’d say
we waste all our time
satisfying other’s needs;

I do not dream, I have no dreams;
I lost my foresight;
somewhere between being
a father and a husband,
Responsibility caught up to me;
Dreams became too luxurious to keep
There comes a point where a man decides;
To make his family’s up keep first priority
Or to sleep in his shame & drown in his stupidity.

Does it matter what makes you happy?
Or are our paths already drawn
before our grand appearance?
Is it worth it?
To always be the kind quiet one
To have no arguments & no satisfaction
To be tasteless; not bitter, not sweet;
Being neutral to what’s nice & what hurts ;
All because, it is expected of you.
Do you ever feel Angry & tired of being so in control?
Do you ever feel like shouting? Hitting someone?
Going out to drawn in Foolishness?
Are you never frustrated?

why be mad
when it feels much better to be happy...
