Hi Glenda. How are you feeling? How long before you get to do the 2 step? A while, Jayne...2 weeks absolutely no weight on it (it's already feeling like a LONG time at day 3.) Then at least 3 weeks in a boot plus physical therapy as necessary. I'm hoping to be in my boots by rodeo but realistically, it might be a few months. Yes, me too...thank you! Here's one for Ray! Too cute, huh??? |

Short lesson on NZ english,"fluffy ducks" along with "good like anything" are very old expressions meaning the user is feeling "fine, like old wine" or maybe "good like anything." These sayings have been a small part of my vocabulary for about 65 or so years. They ae not often heard now
At 1.55PM,I'm feeling good as gold! |

I loved it...think we should adopt it here...call things "fluffy ducks" whenever we mean good. |

I weren't sayin' he wuz greasier than fried lard or that he wuz windier than a fifty-pound bag of whistling lips! I was merely commenting on the colloquialism and antiquity of his speech in conjunction with the common quest of the daily southern New Zealander in search of a tasty meat pie!

Regarding your quest for meat pies, "BIG BEN" IMHO While in Queenstown, I was directed to head up into the mountains to a local bakery where an assortment of flavors could be had. They were delicious! Beef and mushroom, beef and onion gravy, and several others were all great. |

Possum is home and tired. Got my temporary handicapped placard at the DMV (of course, had to park a million miles away while there LOL!) and got to see the world outside. I'm beat!
