I’m all bled out on love
My heart is arid to touch
Nothing can hurt so much
If love you don’t get enough
So I wake to strive another day
Eager to face what comes my way
“Sorry to disappoint you” I hear it say
“You’re not leaving me!” love taunts today
“WTF! Get Out Of My Way! Leave Me Alone!”
“Can’t You See I Don’t Need You Anymore, I’m Gone!!!”
“Foolish girl it’s not your choice, and there’s nowhere to run!”
“You are mine and I am yours, we’ll never be apart, never be done!”
Love with its own mind, masters all who give in to its charm
In the light of day it can betray and it thrives in the dark
Without limits it gives, it takes, it breaks hearts
You’ll learn to “accept it”.. if you’re smart
Love can control more than you think
Love embodies power within a wink
It smells like a rose or it can stink
It takes you right to the brink
It will answer when we call
It can catch us if we fall
Love will conquer all!
