I got out of a year long engagement about a year ago and am now trying to get back into the dating scene to see who's out there. problem for me is that i have trouble meeting people, and even in online dating have trouble getting people to reply to my messages. Am i doing something wrong or should i just keep pushing through and trying?

Put some time into it and you can end up meeting some pretty cool people...I like when they come and visit my stoop, huhha, no...I kid, I kid...

There could be a multitude of reasons why people don't respond to your messages. But, imagine this, you're sitting in a room talking with a group of friends you've known for years and a complete stranger walks in and sits down. Is everyone just going to start chatting to the stranger? Give it time and maybe things will happen. If not, then move on.

Everyone that I've met in real life off of this site I started talking to on the forums. I would advise becoming more active in them... and then waiting for a cute girl... and then quickly messaging her before she deactivates.
