Silent eyes do watch us as we breathe
Sharing in our passion we climb to ecstasy
New heights and old peril maps to destiny
The future bares all we now conceive

Memory collects dust from life’s cradle
Old friends and new take part in our fable
As with guests we invite them to our table
Appetites surrender under love’s label

Jealousy and obsession restore to life
Long hidden feelings aching to bear strife
Cloak and dagger tongues cut like a knife
Nothing honors when hate can be rife

Chivalry reawakens its lost art of war
As beauty lays naked conspicuous allure
Dueling egos vie for the master’s whore
