I posted a Topic on yesterday in religious thread called let mercy rhein.
I forgot my password and had to set up a new account.
I,ve been reading the thread and there was discussion about deleting my thread.
I don,t understand who came to the decision that this is a sensible solution to what may be considered a boring topic to some.
I,m here to learn and share so those of you that may not reap the benefits of what another has to say please don,t take it upon yourselfs to speak for us all.

i'm fairly certain the topic was put up for deletion because it really didn't say anything that could be discussed.

it's kind of the thing we do...we discuss topics. *shrugs*

Well although I did,nt lead you, there was plenty within the statement to discussion if you,re receptive to abstract discussions.

the moderating feature is just being abused by some the activist. even though it did get nominated it was voted to be saved.

Let Mercy Rhein (was that intentional?) For all to see starting with you right now.

it's a flat statement...there's no question or starting point for a discussion, other than the one we had wondering which form of the word you were heading for..."rein", "reign", or "rain".

i didn't vote to delete it...but i can understand WHY someone did.

Okay, I really don,t understand why people would,nt just move on to something they find more interesting.

an attempt to weed out what is seen as clutter? make it easier to navigate?

i don't know the exact reason...but i don't think it was meant personally, either.

If you forgot your password why did you not just request them to e-mail it to you?

I thought they did that to every new topic, about the voting. It's a pretty lenient system, with 4 of 10 votes saving your thread. I especially like the fact that you can only vote once, imagine what would happen in the political forums. I've noticed that not many threads get deleted. I have no complaints.

I am not sure I like this new delete thing we have-
kind of feels like some sort of sensorship to me- but
what do I know. Just my opinion... I guess it would come in handy for really disqusting things though... ohwell

i'm still up in the air as far as the moderating feature is concerned but i vote on everything i see. most of the time i vote to keep it no matter what the subject is about unless it is in the wrong forum or a duplicate.

i think a seach option would be a good addition but until then the moderating feature is all we have to keep everything as orderly as possible.
