I wasn’t looking
as I tried to cross the street and suddenly there you were almost running over me never slowing down instead you picked up speed having every intention to knock me off my feet Now I’m embarrassed So, you rescue my wounded pride After accepting a lift from you I can feel the way you drive Fast and furious the pedal to the floor you will take us places I’ve never been before On the seat next to you I’m watching the road ahead But you have your own designs For where we’ll end up next For now I’m just your rider On our road trip into sin Where we’ll find excitement While throwing caution to the wind Having sensed our connection Long before you made your play You waited ‘til the time was right To show me another way All journey’s have beginnings And they eventually have an end But somewhere in the middle We’ll become more than friends © Athena Rose 11/30/12 |

Thank you for your perception, Sinner.. what would life really be without road hazards to keep us from falling asleep at the wheel...
