I did my profile again and now I made a thread about it.

Sounds pretty straight forward to me and not so complicated. People that are truly interested will ask you questions and will actually want to know more about you AND get to know you and that is how it should be.
Writing a profile is not easy, done mine twice and I guess I still haven't found the right words. Ce sera, sera.

Straight to the point is always good.

I constantly update my profile. I have changed it I don't know how many times since I started years ago.

Okay, thanks. I've been on a few of these sites now and tried various aproaches with the profiles. It's hard to know why women don't reply when you message them saying hi and asking if they want to chat when they've looked at your profile but maybe I'll get more responses by just keeping it minimal and if they think that I look like their type they might be intreagued enough to ask me to tell them about myself.

I think you can leave out the part about what you did have and what you changed it to. Just be honest about what you're looking for. If it's a relationship, say that. If it's dating, say that. Add some clear pictures as well.

Those are the clearest pictures that I've got. My sister did use a phone to take the profile picture but she said that it's a good phone and my sister is a trained photographer.

I think "relationship" can mean just about anything and I did say that I'm looking for a girlfriend. I have just been feeling that it's better to say dating because I want to meet someone and see how it goes, even though ideally I'm looking for something longterm.

That didn't really work.

Can't seem to get any genuine people to talk to me, so I've rewritten the essay part. Anyone want to venture an opinion?

The main picture is a little dark and not as clear as it could be. The others are ok, but take some more where you aren't squatting behind a dog and add them to your profile.

Okay, I decided to rewrite my profile because I wasn't getting any responses with what I had on there recently and I thought I would just try to make it humourous this time and try to get my personality across.

Check it out and tell me what you think if you like.

Sir I think your profile is fine no worries. More important I think your genuine and enjoy reading your comments on the forums. You got class and respect, I like your style my friend.

From a man's point of view:

Take a full length photo of yourself and post it.

While I appreciate the humor in your profile, you sounded a little desperate when you told them to talk to you for Christ's sake, might want to remove that.

You would have to hope the women who read it get the humor.

You really need women's point of view, not us men as I don't get any talkers either.

Okay, thanks guys.

It's not actually that easy for me to get someone to take more pictures of me at the moment but the next time I see my sister I'll ask her if she can take a few full length shots.

Yeah, it occured to me that "Talk to me for Christ's sake" might make me sound a bit angry or desperate but I sort of thought that the rest of it balanced that out and hopefully gives the impression that I'm not and as far as the humour goes, if they don't get it then I'm probably not going to get on very well with them anyway.

I did get a couple of messages from ladies from the forums saying that they liked what I've done with my profile now, so that's good, even if they already know me from my posts and aren't just getting a first impression of me from that.

You sound desperate.... If they just "come by and go" to your profile it means there not interested.... I dont care about the full body photo...just put a photo that focus on your face... I look at the eyes not your body....youre profile is pretty good,,and i like your opinions in those topics that ive read..and also the one that i posted

Dear Tawt,
Women like a man who exudes confidence!
Yes,however genuine you say you are, that profile does sound a more bit on the desperate side!
Also, the pics are quite unclear....i also used phone to take a few pics(posted some on here),but they do look good-and my phone is a bit 3rdworld!! So,get off that seat and get better pics-for the good of your profile!
Humor-YES!
Confidence-NO!
Desperate-YES!
Re-edit profile,be straight to the point and we'll get the picture of who you are from that!!
Goodluck!
