We all have been coming across them. Scammers. They just want your money! We all know this. Some are smarter than others. Some are just far too transparent to take seriously.

One way I can tell a scammer is terrible Grammar ESPECIALLY if that person claims to be in the united states let alone the same county I am in. Most Americans have poor but good enough grammar to get by. "Scammer Grammar," speaks for itself. There is bad English and there is someone trying to use Google Translator to fool us into believing they are in this for love.

Another is how a scammar approaches me. I look at their profiles. Scammers rarely look at mine. Most of them wait for someone to contact them and then suddenly they are all over you and they don't take the time to look at YOUR profile. That is a huge red flag! So are the ones who "troll" along and just contact you out of the blue.

Most of them likewise are either trying to "Get back into the United States" (or Europe) or they have a sick relative. They have some sob story about how they can't afford to do squat.

Another dead give away is when I ask "Test Questions" since many scammers are out of area they will not know anything about the area they claim to live in. Having lived in Los Angeles for over 35 years I have an extremely intimate knowledge of the county. Don't claim to live in Los Angeles and not know where Pink's Hotdogs is! Or worst is when I as them directions to MacArthur park or Griffith park. And there is no such thing as Knott's Landing in Long Beach! I love inviting scammer to go there. When they act excited I know I sniffed out a dumb scammer!

And a last dead give away is how ambiguous the answer to your questions are if they answer any of them at all. They try to maintain a conversation without answering any of your questions if they answer them at all. If you don't get straight answers to all of your questions with the exception of sensitive questions YOU ARE GETTING SCAMMED IF YOU DON'T CATCH ON!

Play safe, not smart. If they ask you for money for ANY REASON on this site, and this includes people coming off as desperate or "give me money so we can be together" are not here for love and new members had better heed this if they don't want to cry about being duped.

A nice guy with Great Profile communicated with me on here for two days. When I said to him, are you Real? And, are you a Scammer? He didnt write back. That was a few days ago. laugh

Them: How are you doing?
Me: Good. How about yourself?
Them: Am doing well.
Me: So where are you from?
Them: Am originally from California but temporarily living in Ghana. Work in grocery store and make good moneys. What about you?
Me: I don't work anywhere and therefore I have no money.

few moments pass...

Me: Do you think you could loan me some money?
Them: User has disconnected.

Should've played it cool. I wanted to have more fun with "her".

Also I can usually tell within the first couple of lines if it's a bot, to which I ask, "What color is the sky?". They typically don't know how to respond and just sit in silence until I disconnect.

A scammers greatest weapon is his intended victims stupidity.

I used to string them along. Then, eventually, send them a fake Yahoo ID when they'd ask for my Yahoo contact info. Now a days I report and block them.
