At about 2:45 a.m wrote to a friend that my son was On Paris Isalnd Soil....

At 2;50 a.m...my cell rang...

A recorded voice from my son...

Saying he was ther....

Giving instructiond to not try to contact him...when he would send address etc..

It was so fast...

He already doesn't sound like my son 24 hrs ago...

I wish that call went to my voicemail....

Z, that is the way the military works, try not to let that bother you too much, but they take in so many recruits at a time, they have to keep it short so they are able to notify all the parents that their sons/daughters have arrived safe. I will say prayers that he will come home to you safe always. Dave

At the same time..I have Brett's girlfriend here..

She needs major support...

My first Love went Army...I know what she is going through...

My youngest son...I think will be home tomorrow from the beach...needs me....

So I am on my feeet for both my sons and Alex...

I still say..HOLY ****.....

It's like I know it's going to happen this way..but when it does..it shocks ya...

The military tone in his voice..makes me smile..and then...loose a breath...

Be brave for him as he will also FEEl your fear and that will bother him to. GOD will keep him be safe and always believe, and you have friends here who care about you both.
RED tape is always in between everything in the military.
So don't be alarmed if they say ANYTHING at certain times,as it might not be anything,wink,wink,..
