Just because people don't like gay people, it does not mean gay people need to give up and go back in the closet. There will always be bigots out there. That does not mean they should not have equal rights and be harassed.

If someone just does not agree with homosexuality, I see no problem with that. It's those who go out of their way to try and stop gay people from having equal rights as well as harassing them that I have a problem with.

And yes, Chick-Fil-A can spend their money on whatever they want. However, if it's going to be going toward anti-gay organizations, I will not put my money toward that.

Not everyone who dislikes the gays are bigots, some (myself included) are tired of the marches, and gay-ins and the shenanigans they been pulling lately with businesses who disagree with them. I don't care for Chik-Fil-A's food so I don't eat there, but if In-N-Out burger or El Taco was to take a stance against gays in anyway and gays tried to retaliate I would definitely eat there.

I live in a fairly liberal city and don't notice all these things that people claim gay people are always doing. So, it isn't something that interferes with my life.

Yes, it's in the news sometimes, but so are other things like anti-gay groups boycotting companies that support gay rights. While I don't agree with those groups (such as one million moms boycotting jc penny because of Ellen Degeneres) it's their right to do so. I do believe that behavior is bigoted, though, but that's my opinion. You don't have to agree.

you keep using the word "bigoted" ... do we not have the rights to like or dislike anything without a label? your entitled to your opinion, and i respect it, but maybe you choose to through out a label to quick...

No one is saying you can't like or dislike what you want. The issue is trying to stop a same sex couple from being married because you disagree with them. Them getting married does not affect your life, yet you want to affect theirs by pushing your beliefs on them and forcing them to not get married because of your beliefs.

it's not about gay rights. if you understand marketing you can see what just happened

chick fil a: we need a way to make money

marketing: let's say we are against gays. some people will rally and we'll take their money

chick fil a: ok, but won't that make us lose other people's money

marketing: when the rush ends, we do an obama and flip flop on the issue. then we take the other people's money

chick fil a: you may have something there...

maybe i didn't explain my thoughts on this very clearly... If the people vote and it is voted in by the people, i won't have a problem with it. i may not like it, but the people had their vote. when it is voted down, and the government tries to override what the people voted,(as in California) then i have a big problem with it... I'm not going to protest about it either way, my personal thoughts are mine to have.
