Absolutely I tip well. If can't afford a tip I stay home. To me it is a teft of services to tip poorly even for mediocre service. I figure service jobs you never know what someone has just had to put up with so if I get something less than Five Star service I won't bust chops or stiff someone.

I tipped the maintence people heavily where I went on my last vacation with my Dad for being so nice and I recently got free nites stay coupon as he promoted to assistant manager.

When I tip I often add silver dollar or two dollar bills because people who get tips kind of notice it and find it special. A lot are, like myself, coin collectors.

If someone in my local shopping gives me great service I make a point of going on line at the corporate site and reporting that. It can really help get people the promotions and perks they deserve.

It is a GREAT way as a newcomer to an area to get the inside track on local stuff.

As a "Single"; dating I can't tell you the number of times I have gotten the most "helpful" information from service oriented workers. Service people know who's naughty and who's nice. And if you are their friend they point you out or even introduce you to the nice ones.

And yes I have dropped guys like a "Hot Rock" for being stingy, acting the fool, or bully with working people and it has NEVER EVER failed to prove out to be a good decision. Shocking sometimes the stuff you later hear they pull. And a stingy person is a stingy relationship where you have to pull needles out of their tongue to get them to communicate or show appreciation or even courtesy. Yea the first couple few dates the are on their good behavior that doesn't tell you a thing about the real person underneath.

Well it is hard to judge unless we have a figure. However, I definitely am very generous if they provide excellent service. I understand they make a living as well...so , if I'm out enjoying a evening out and they are wonderful..they deserve a wonderful tip.
