I was just wondering why woman hardly ever wear dresses and skirts anymore, not trying to sound to old fashioned here, there is just something so very feminine seeing a woman in a dress, is it just to impractical for most woman to dress this way, seems like a dress or skirt would be much simpler to change into and provide more comfort, my ex wore dresses quite a bit, but then again she had been in the fashion industry, so it may have been a occupational habit on her part.

It depends on the season for me. Winter I live in jeans unless I am doing the winter dress/skirt and boots thing. Summertime finds me in dresses and skirts alot more. I love ALL clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, jewelery and many women do.

During the summer I wear a lot of dresses; but when winter hits at -40 below; I no longer wear dresses. Some women work with men that objectify them because of dresses or it could be a distraction if you work with men. Sometimes wearing a dress means wearing heels which are uncomfortable. Sometimes pantyhose are damn uncomfortable. Sometimes not wearing pantyhose are equally uncomfortable. Maybe the job they do is just not practicle to wear a dress like climbing a ladder, etc. Lots of different reasons why women don't wear dresses as often.
