You walked past me At a stroll Looked down your nose But this is how I roll With sticks I walk clumsy You don't look me in the eye Instead painfully nimble You walk on by Would you help me across the street Hold my pretend hand Or would pride and fear Freeze you where you stand My heart is true My smile is real You just have More fingers to feel I see more in you Through touch and smell When I'm the darkness To your knees you fell Don't see me for what I am But who I am In mind, spirit and soul RH Aug 2012
