Tazzops, that was very touching and very real. . I think people tend to just forget the more important stuff. Instead, some rush their lives forwards, constantly. It's only at special times such as Christmas, New Year, that they suddenly realise how they've missed spending time with their family. You're friend sounds very thoughtful :)

You're friend sounds very thoughtful :) He is a very kind man indeed. He once drove from his home to pick me up so we could go to a pow wow together. It was in Oklahoma, just 40 miles from his home. He drove to Colorado Springs, back to Oklahoma then back to Colorado Springs, then home again. We have gone to the one in the four corners area. He loss his wife around the same time I loss mine. He has nine kids, at times they do get on his nerves. He is one of the very best person you would ever know.

Sounds like you have quite a strong bond with him. Nine kids? Wow. Bet that was difficult at times for him. Nine is definitely a lot. Great poem :)
