Topic: Advice for a friend | |
---|---|
She has met a man who is amazing & everything she wants. Kind, loving, artistic, gentle, respectful of her, does not have an issue with her christianity. They have a great connection, he is her dream man but not a christian. What would you advice?

unless you can get this man to become a christian i would say dont do it not worth it. if you believe in God and what he is saying.. then finding a christian man/women would be the best choice

So conversion only is acceptable to God?

i never said that.. God is not the kinda person to judge someone for what they decide to do with their life. its not like she is going to go to hell because she is dating a non believer its just best to be with someone who has the same faith just because it would be easier for her and for him and because God wants it but he does not demand it

I was not offended :-) I really want advice for her.

GOD ask us not to judge so don't. You never know you might be the factor of him becomming a born again christan. He is a beliver, God brought him in your life for a reason.I know of married coulpes that the both are not born again. but he has helped her start to learn. I also have some friends that are muslim an christian. They have had a truly loving realionship for alot of years now. They have children an bring them up with both outlooks. So never say never when GOD is involved.

2 Corinthians 6:14 “Do not be unequally
yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?” the scripture tells us it is against it, not because non christians are not good people or high values morals ect or fantastic people. Its because being christian our center is suposed to be revolving around christ and christ like.Christian and non-Christian are not immune to temptation,if we date someone whos center doesnt revolve around christ. we maybe tempted to waiver more away from our faith and christ not have him the center of our life anymore anymore .And if there center isnt christ we may not have the support to recenter ourselves if we waiver at times. (shrugs) Just some thoughts .... Is how someone explained it to me long ago. |

Then tell her to keep it in prayer an go with her heart. God is love no matter what regilon you are. Just look in the bible an look at Ruth. She wasn't Jewish, but followed in a strange land with her dead husbands family . Them would up marring another Jewish man.She still wasn't Jewish. So God leads us we no not where. That is where BELIEVE comes into our lives. Good luck in what ever she decieds to do. You never know what God has in store for us.WE can be christians even around non-believers. It is our chose,God gave us.

Here is something to consider. She did and is praying and put out an impossible fleece. Within hours, with only this lady and God knowing the fleece, it was answered in the affirmative. Now that confuses her because the bible says dont be unequally yoked.

She has met a man who is amazing & everything she wants. Kind, loving, artistic, gentle, respectful of her, does not have an issue with her christianity. They have a great connection, he is her dream man but not a christian. What would you advice? Well, show here where it warns of such in the Bible. I don't remember the passages, but just show her why it's not a good idea for Christians to get romantically involved with non-christians. |

She knows the biblical scriptures. But I think she is open to the possibility that God may have His purposes for their future. Wierd huh?

Thats not weird that is great. How do people think some turn to christaniy.
|
|

I wish i had a better answer but i dont.
but I belive God puts people in our path for a reason,I hope what ever her decision is I hope there always happy and I wish them both only the best . |

This is a hard one for me. I personally have been really staunch in not dating non christians. IDK anymore. I know couples where one converted when dating & couples where one is an athiest and she has a huge ministry....it works for them.

She knows the biblical scriptures. But I think she is open to the possibility that God may have His purposes for their future. Wierd huh? No, be it's an indication that she may be easily derailed from Christianity. She may be thinking with her carnal mind, and hearing things from God she wants to hear. |

We do not convert people. We simply show them the path. They choose to accept or not and the Lord converts them.

Some for, some against. She told me she feels she will never marry at all, because no christian men appeal to her. I get that! She has been single for years & years. We do live in a small town where the single christian men are around 0.05%.

I think the Bible is pretty clear on the subject. That should be our guide in situations like this and where we are not sure about things. Thats the whole reason it was written.
