So, I've read the Fifty Shades of Grey books and enjoyed them. Does anyone have any recommendations for similar types of books? I just read Bared to You, which was quite similar, but better written.

How is erotic fiction any different from the claims that some men here make about having had more than 100 sex partners?

If you have book suggestions, awesome. This is not the thread to discuss the number of sexual partners some claim to have. Feel free to make your own thread, though.

And now, back to book suggestions...

One of my faves is "Strange Attractions" by Emma Holly. She writes some steamy books!!devil

Christine Feehan writes good ones too.devil

(I wasn't very impressed with 50 Shadesohwell )

I asked a serious question.
I want to know what makes a book "erotic" fiction.

Thank you! I'll check them out.

I know many weren't. I enjoyed the books, though.

Your question didn't seem serious at all, as you were talking about someone claiming to have a number of sexual partners, which is nothing like I'm talking about.

As for what it is - romance books with sexual themes in detail. :)

The Story of O....It's about female dominance and submission...Written in the mid 1950's I believe...The author was French....The book was very controversial and it is not for the faint of heart, very disturbing, very, very erotic....

Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty Trilogy (The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, Beauty's Punishment and Beauty's Release), written under the pseudonym A. N. Roquelaure. Though these might be a little more than erotic as they are quite graphic.

Henry Miller - Tropic of Cancer

Apparently this was even banned in the US at one point.

How are you?
