With the exeption of your outtanding herbs....I don't want your stuff John....(it is exquisite) I am unloading everything I got on my friends to move to Oregon. I am taking my dog, my clothes, my car and my money....everything else is going to my friends kids who are just hitting thier 20's. The older I get....the less crap I need. Give your stuff to young people...they will dig it. This is what I'm talking about! This thread was started in part because you brother K. I'm in awe and NOTHING you have said or done on here has impressed me as much... I want to congratulate you and Soufie on your life path together.  I was telling a concerned friend on here... That I'm perfectly fine, this has nothing to do with a "exasperation fire sale" and more to do with being able to separate myself from my belongings? I'd love the idea of being able to do this... I'm not there yet. We all work hard(or most of us do anyways) to create a comfortable and safe environment for ourselves and our loved ones. Part of that comfort zone is familiarity and attachment to items we've kept for years... In my case, I'm a slave to my possessions. PS: I'm not religious at all but I'll take a stab at it. Giving it all away is pretty liberating. I ain't never been very materialistic anyway.
I got a good woman, a good dog, food on the table, a roof overhead, good friends and my family loves me... I am good to go. :) |
