My guess is the fly on the strip IS warning the others away, but they don't listen.

So if I am miserable I won't be lonely? I better get a new fly strip cause when I am miserable thats when I am lonely. Maybe I need to perfect my miserable skills. Seriously , I do get what you are saying, miserable whiny people do bring you down.

The reason misery loves company is because those who are miserable feel a little less miserable when they connect with people who are even more miserable than themselves.... We should be empathetic, we should show our caring side...

Some miserable and unhappy people have a lot of anger inside of them...And they have fly-swatters and "swat" people who seem too happy! YUK!...They don't realize that everyone else has problems too. But some people just don't want to be miserable day and night. Or "drown" in self-pity. (Because it doesn't "feel good!")
