One of the benefits of teaching in a private school is parent involvement. The Diocese I work for gave use a new math curriculum this Thursday to implement starting Monday. AHHHH, the joys!!!!!

I know. It is called "Focal Point" mathematics. Bascially, they want the teachers out of the textbooks. Great for me. I hate books but boy some of my colleagues are hissy fitting.

we almost had to cancel a field trip last year for the entire school (the first one in about 10 years) b/c one teacher was complaining about not getting their 1 hour duty free lunch as per our contract!
