Liked this movie. The writer of this film also wrote The Hitcher (1986). I liked that one as well. |

Liked this movie. The writer of this film also wrote The Hitcher (1986). I liked that one as well. Trivia: C. Thomas Howell admitted that he was actually afraid of Rutger Hauer on and off the set because of the actor's general intensity. In Rutger Hauer's book "All Those Moments," Hauer discusses how producer Ed Feldman settled on Sam Elliott for the role of John Ryder. Hauer states that "Apparently, Elliott was so scary when he came in to audition that Edward S. Feldman was afraid to go out to his car afterward." Sam Elliott had a scheduling conflict and had to back out the role. |

Cool. Found it on Netflix. Watching it tonight.
Watched "A Dangerous Method" last night. It was alright. Good for what it was I guess. I really think Cronenberg needs to get off this drama trip and do another horror piece though. |

The Squad
"El páramo" es la historia de un comando especial de alta montaña, compuesto por nueve experimentados soldados, que es enviado a una desolada base con la que se perdió contacto hace varios días y que se cree fue blanco de un ataque guerrillero. Al llegar, encuentran un único sobreviviente. Its the story about nine pro soldiers of an special anti-guerrilla "comando" unit, sent to an abandoned base located over a 14.000 ft. mountain in the colombian andes. which has lost contact few days ago, supposedly beacause they were under guerrilla attack. at the time the "comandos" arrive, they found only one survivor." |
