Who am I?
Am I a sum of my fears?
Am I a sum of my choices?
Am I what my past has made me?
Or am I what I have made myself?
People tell me I'm one thing,
Friends tell me I'm another.
Loved one's tell me I'm something,
And this world tells me I'm nothing.
To see who I am,
To see what I've become,
That's something no one can tell me.
It's something I have to see for myself.
I've always said
Life is what you make it.
I've always believed
We are who we're supposed to be.
But the question isn't who we'll become.
The question is who I am now.
Once this is figured out
My life will move forward.
Once I figure this out
I'll be who I'm meant to become.
When that day gets here
Will I be ready?
When that day arrives
Will anyone be prepared?
