7 year itch

Staring at the emptiness of her wedding band.
Mendaciously lying on the kitchen table.
A hollow ignominy silent memento of a now faded past.
Her heart feels like a cheap lewd bottle of aristocratic wine.

Sieged by a 7 year itch

It holds her body hostage in a ensuing flame.
This jeopardizing desire of cognitive infatuation.
A prefabricated DNA synchronization gone disarray.

Sieged by a 7 year itch

Her eyes masquerade the tears.
Fatuous feelings of languishing confusion.
Vows sacrificed, and a abandoned splendor in the grass.
When love is still love, but has lost its innocence.
Staring at the emptiness of her wedding band....
