A video from September 2009 has surfaced via liveleak.com showing a 101st Airbornehelicopter crew in Wardack province singing "Bye-bye Miss American Pie" before blasting a group of Afghan men, who may or may not be doing anything illegal, with a Hellfire missile, after which survivors run for cover. Most chilling: The blithely admiring "Nice!" after the hit.

I would not recommend watching the horrific vid but if you wish here it is at this link.

Remember the film from Iraq where the chopper crew killed a number of Iraqis including two journalists. Jokes of a sort abounded as in, when the van arrived on the scene and the people tried to pick up the wounded to take them to hospital. The chopper wasted the rescuers and the van. Somebody reported two children in the front seat of the van."That's what they get for bringing their kids into a war zone," said the chopper crew.

They strafed the survivors who were still moving, including the photographer. One wounded Iraqi was trying to crawl away from the van. The chopper sights were on him. "Just reach for a weapon, any weapon," from the chopper. Later, a military vehicle came roaring in and skidded to a stop, having run over one of the victims. Another joke from the chopper.

This trash just keeps going on, only the name of the nations change.

Remember, any person or group who objects to the US and its "allies" invading their country, robbing their natural resources, killing their women and children is automatically categorized as a terrorist or insurgent and they, their families, their villages, are all condemned to destruction by definition. Likewise, any nation or group that sends support to the above goes on the list for future attack. However, we can send special forces, CIA, weapons, into any nation we disagree with and consider it our patriotic duty.

I grew up during WW-II. It was a dirty, vicious war, but we didn't do the sort of crap that is now routine. (Except, or course for such things as Dresden.

I wonder if this is a war crime?
