Hundreds report seeing UFO flying over Israel (MSN) It's one thing to hear a lone individual report of something mysterious in the sky, but hundreds of residents in northern Israel have bombarded police with reports of seeing a UFO Thursday night. According to Dr. Yigal Pat-El of the Israeli Astronomical Association, the object had "a small body that suddenly started to grow and make spiral-like movements" before disintegrating. Pat-El also stated that the object wasn't a meteor. Ynetnews noted that a similar sighting over Norway in 2009 was revealed to have been a failed Russian missile test, but Israel Defense Forces reportedly had no operations under way in the area at the time of the sighting.
