I think sex (or sexual behavior) in general freaks some people out. Take the Fifty Shades of Grey books. All kinds of people are bent out of shape about those books.

It doesn't bother me personally in general. However when it gets much past hugs and a few kisses, then it's in appropriate for public. It's simply disrespectful, to others who are bothered by it particularly those with children.

When ever I see people getting hot and heavy in public I kind of think are they doing it for each other or so they can be a show.

If it is just the excitement of the moment or where you would expect to see at least some display of affection it doesn't bug me. I can remember more than one time jumping into my husbands arms after a deployment. But we could show enough respect for ourselves and others to take it "home" so I don't get why other's can't.

Isn't part of being a responsible adult having the means to have privacy? Seems to me.

But the over the top stuff is just kind of gross or annoying because you know they are really doing it to show off or make anyone who is around feel uncomfortable.

I don't think I should have to feel like I should leave a public place so someone else can have some "privacy".

All right who wants to go out with me and we will start up in the movie theater or in the restaurants bathroom. I have actually walked into the bathroom where a couple was hot and heavy in the handicapped stall

Being a nudist I am by law required to accept other peoples idea of what's appropriate. But I would do it anyway simply out of respect. I do think the idea that ANY PDA is wrong is silly even around children. What's so terrible about them knowing that physical love exists. It's tough to figure a reasonable place to draw the line. Fortunately the legal line is pretty liberal, frankly I'm glad that one is mostly governed by public opinion.

Like I said, personally you can do anything you want and it won't bother me personally. The problem with ignoring general public opinion on things like this is it tends to lead to unreasonable legal limits being placed on them.
