Do you know what really grinds my gears?

1. As previously stated, people that don't respond to messages, but more importantly, women with whom I have had decent lengthy conversations, and all of a sudden, drop off the face of the planet. If you don't like me, tell me straight up. I hate you, you're a ***** if you just stop talking to me and offer no explanation.

2. The education provided today that teaches children to conform and obey. And these fine, upstanding rich parents who send there children off to private religious institutions to strip away a little more of the individuality by not only making them think alike, but making them dress alike as well. Please don't do this, you are ruining your kids.

3. The government.

4. George W. Bush

A few other things, but these are the ones that I can currently think of.

Rebuttals?

You can all just kiss of into the air, turn my back and I see them stare.

They'll hurt me bad, but I don't mind.

They'll hurt me bad; they do it all the time.

*yeah yeah*

they do it all the time

Have you ever attended a private school?

Really. They do nothing of the sort.

depends on the school. i went to a public high school and they didn't, but other schools in my wrestling league were totally like that.

Actually, I've been to a private school..... But if a college thinks that they can force people to wear uniforms, they are out of they're effin minds, and they will have like no attendance. But yes these private high schools, the religious ones, they are required to wear uniforms. Especially the Catholic high schools. I have too many friends that go to them, and went to them. I'm a non-conformist. Generally speaking. God Bless America, the land of the locked up, and the ex-home of habeas corpus.

I wasn't challenging the statement that they make the students follow a strict dress code; I was challenging the idea that dress codes or uniforms are a method of preventing individuality. My four years of Catholic high school showed me nothing but positive results from strict dress codes or uniforms. In anything, they forced students to be individuals in their behaviour and their methods of thinking, since they couldn't take the shortcut and simply wear eye shadow and all black clothes. Or some such thing.

Clothing is a form of expressing your individuality. I saw in high school, my sophomore year, we started wearing uniforms. I saw kids get picked on because the pants they wore where from Wal*Mart, and not some name brand place. And wearing eye shadow isn't anything bad. Wearing all black isn't anything bad either. When it's taken to extremes, it may cuase problems, but when anything is taken to an extreme, issues will arise. Personally, I look good in a lot of black. Black jeans, with a black button down, maybe a little color in the shirt, but ultimately, an entire outfit is almost entirely black. It looks good though. However, I don't take it to an extreme.

I'm not saying wearing eye shadow or all black is bad; only that each is a shallow form of individuality. There are ways to express yourself that don't involve spending money to look a certain way. Uniforms force you to define yourself in a non-material way (at least they're supposed to... most of the time, you just end up defining people by what car they drive, what cell phone they have, etc.).

But it still takes away a form of expressin. I like to wear clothes on the baggy side. that's just my style though. Jeans and a nice button down. And I buy from Savers. It's a discount store. Second hand. But I just bought a pair of South Pole jeans the other day for like 10 bucks.

Buckethead, did you buy different color dog collars for your poochie before she ran away?laugh

Thifts can be an awsome way of attaining name brand clothes, just have to take a real real close look at them.

Expression? Thats as individual as people. HEll yeah, I got teased cuz my uniform wasn't "created" in the eyes of "Levi"....or my shirt didn't have the same kinds of sleeves as the other girls, or the pleats in my skirt weren't perfectly alined........

then the GOD AWFUL DREADED public school........hahahahaha, loved it. Hung around with all of them. I was a group butterfly.........know why? Cuz I got along with all of them. I already knew what to expect so paid them lots of attention. Or just plain paid attention.........

Preps......"ohhhhhhh, I love those shoes!!! Where did you find them? They all were wearing the same shoes!!! hahahahah

Stoners/whatever hard core group of "thugs as my mom put it"...... Whoa man! Nice bell bottoms! Where can I pick up a pair of those? They were all wearing the same kind!!!!!

OR, "Hey my friend, nice baggies.....your mom do the pleats or did you do it. Stright man!".......damn, do I have to say it again???

I got delt with all of it and all the while I wore whatever I wanted. Even started a few trends. hahahahahaha........

And I was sincere in every instance cuz I liked them and they liked me. I told them like it was on the one on one, and didn't take any crap!

Yeah I had to fight to prove myself but I had to do that in private school too, so everyone leave that be for God's sake! The horse has been kicked so hard and long the bones are showing through!

I look at just about everyone's profile who posts on the forums.

And then I tend to forget that I looked that them, so I look at them again later.
