If the Obama administration and Israel are continuing preparations to attack Iran....

per the article...

Netanyahu's agenda is much broader than knocking out Iranian nuclear installations for his aim is to reshape the political landscape in the USA and Israel shifting everything to the far, far right in order to create a new comfort zone for religious fundamentalists.

So this article is implying that Netty wants to reshape the landscape by bringing in a moderate like Romney(I simply refuse to use far right following his name)with the help of Obama.

So by Obama allowing preparations for the attack to be made he is helping Netty help Romney..

If Obama simply refused and told Netty he was in deep trouble if he attacked Iran then he would be helping himself and not Romney.

Its getting late for me at this end but I will come back to this thread tomorrow.

As you might have gathered one of may main political interests is American Foreign Policy.

Plans for attacks on countries do not happen overnight,

Again remember The Pentagons Plan To Take out Seven Countries in Five Years. That was back in 2007....Before Obama.

Syria is now in Play and The Big One Is Iran.

Israel bombed Gaza for 23 Days in Dec2008 Jan 2009 Obama stayed quite because he was waiting to be crowned.

Netty as you call him has only until November to Attack Iran..he more or less said that several months ago.

Its all choreographed around Election Times when people are distracted from what is really going on.

Remember Rummy...2,3 Trillion gone unaccounted for. And Then what happened 24 hours later.

300 million Americans forgot about the 2.3 trillion.

I will comeback to this because we the world are nearing the endgame.

This is Optomistic69 checking out. Goodnight Invi

You don't make sense. Israel would have more to gain if they waited until Romney takes office next year since Obama would let them hang out to dry if they attacked his precious Muslims where Romney would put the full weight of the USA behind Israel(the way it should be).

Just Read This and I had to Post it.

Netanyahu pretending he is a world leader,

running a patch of sand,

a few concentration camps.

Add in to that a population largely made of people suffering from the

collective delusion that they had been awarded the land of others by

an invisible supernatural being with psychopathic tendencies.”

Ahead of a meeting next week with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu, President Obama is stressing that when he says "all options
are on the table" when it comes to keeping Iran from obtaining a
nuclear weapon, he means it.

"I think that the Israeli government recognizes that, as president of
the United States, I don't bluff," Mr. Obama said in an interview with
the Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg.

"I also don't, as a matter of sound policy, go around advertising
exactly what our intentions are," Mr. Obama continued. "But I think
both the Iranian and the Israeli governments recognize that when the
United States says it is unacceptable for Iran to have a nuclear
weapon, we mean what we say."

-Barak Obama
President of the United States

So yeah. The military option on Iran's nuclear weapons program
is still on the table and every day that the Iranians thumb their
nose at the international community and continue nuclear enrichment
brings them closer to military confrontation. It is definitely a
lot closer now than it was last year.

And this is a surprise?

whoa

According to Hussein's record of lying, this is the only part that contains truth.

(unacceptable for Iran to have a nuclear

It is all up to Iran. As soon as they stop enrichment and dismantle
their underground weapons development centers then it is all over.
Since they have repeatedly stated that they are not interested in
developing nuclear weapons then they have no reason to have these
underground enrichment facilities or any other weapons related activities
so it should be no hardship for them at all.

Yet, they have not stopped their weapons development activities and
they refuse to decommission their fortified underground enrichment
centers.

It is a BAFFLING CONUNDRUM!

http://original.antiwar.com/giraldi/2012/06/20/terrorism-arithmetic/

Terrorism is clearly a dying profession, both literally and metaphorically. The Report on Terrorism does not list how many terrorists were killed in 2011, perhaps fearing that the definitions and numbers could easily be challenged, but it does provide detailed breakdowns of the terrorism victims, a number around which there is considerably more consensus. Worldwide terrorist attacks in 2011 were down 12% from 2010 and 29% from 2007. Most attacks, and most victims, roughly 65%, came from Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Somalia. Al-Qaeda, the gold-standard terrorist group, is in sharp decline, staging far fewer attacks worldwide except in one country, Somalia. Somalia’s al-Shabab claims to be an al-Qaeda affiliate, though that means little in practical terms. Engaged in what is essentially a civil war, it bombs and executes its opponents. Each shooting or bombing is therefore counted as a terrorist attack. Its ability to threaten the United States is close to nil, however, and even Washington is waking up to the fact that the threat al-Shabab does pose is largely because the group has been radicalized by U.S. involvement in the conflict.

Russia: Attack on Tehran is Attack on Moscow

Russia has given Iran its bear hug and warns Israel and the West that an attack on Tehran would be considered an attack on Moscow. The threat heightens the prospect of World War III in the event of a military strike on Iran.

“Iran is our neighbor,” Russia's outgoing ambassador to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, told reporters in Brussels. “And if Iran is involved in any military action, it’s a direct threat to our security.”

Kremlin Security Council head Nikolai Patrushev accused Israel of provoking the United States towards war against Iran, the Russian Interfax news agency reported Friday. “But at the same time, we believe that any country has the right to have what it needs to feel comfortable, including Iran," he added.

Rogozin warned on Friday that more attacks on Iran could cause "a scorching Arab Summer."

Russia also has come to the defense of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, warning Western nations not to intervene in Syria with military forces. Russia is a major arms supplier to Syria and has a heavy investment in Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Japan also is drifting towards Iran, backtracking from its promise last week to back American sanctions aimed at persuading Iran to halt its unsupervised nuclear development.

Last week’s assassination of an Iranian nuclear scientist has aroused more “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” protest rallies in Iran, where the scientist was buried on Friday.

Iranian state radio said the 32-year-old scientist was involved with enriched uranium, a key ingredient for a nuclear weapon.

Israel, Russia agree on Iran nuke danger

Both Israel and Russia agree that Iranian proliferation of nuclear weapons
poses a great danger to both Israel and the world, Prime Minister Binyamin
Netanyahu said at a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir
Putin at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem on Monday.

Iran is under four sets of Security Council sanctions because of its nuclear
program. Israel has welcomed these but warned they are not enough.

Russia built a $1 billion nuclear reactor in Bushehr. But Moscow may be
taking a harsher attitude against weapons activity. Russia recently scrapped
a deal to sell Iran long-range missiles hampering Iran's ability to combat
any potential air attack.

Oh gawd opto... please let them go ahead and preemptively strike Iran. It should be a good showdown...
I'm curious about the Israeli flight plans... Fly over Jordan? Iraq? Syria? I guaranty they ain't using Turkish airspace. The only viable trajectory would be over Saudi Arabia IMO. That my friends will open up a can of worms of epic proportions. All you armchair quarterbacks of death should realize this sooner rather than later. Israel MUST exist, this is true, but not at the expense of Palestinians. IMHO
