As noted in earlier posts, I am quite done handicapping this fraud of democracy that our two party system has devolved into.

Instead I am try to think beyond it, to what can and must replace it, before it's too late. In that regard I offer for your consideration a five-minute video which, if you are of a similar mind, you should watch.

Of course you will have to listen carefully, far more so than when you listen to the pablum Obama or Romney drivel out. Because this guy is not a politician. He's smarter than that. Which means his message is not directed at a focus-group designated 7th grade level. He uses bigger words offering much bigger visions. He's the kind of person Tea Party types dismiss as an "egghead," because he has more inside his egg than they can even begin to imagine. Institutional Democrats don't like him either, not since he's exposed their quisling and cowardly ways.

He's Harvard professor, Roberto Unger, and he's no stranger to Barack Obama. Prof. Unger taught the President courses in "reinventing democracy" during his time in Harvard. (Apparently Barry was distracted during these lectures.)

Prof. Unger's central premise in the video below is that, in order for any real change to occur in America, Obama must be defeated in November.

Oh, I know, that's such an irresponsible position -- to virtually hand control of America back to the GOP.

And, if that's as deep as your thinking goes, then don't bother taking the time to look deeper. Just delete this post and go back to hoping that, through some magical process yet unknown and unseen, one of the two dominant parties will wake up some morning and decide, "Whoa! We have to start thinking about the majority and stop pandering to the folks funding our campaigns."

Or, watch, listen and try to understand what this guy is saying. Because it may just make more sense than hoping that the Democratic Party will return to its roots. Dangerous? Yes. But as he points out, "No one ever changed the world without a fight. and "Genuine democracy is always dangerous."
